Marcelene D. Lederhouse passed away August 31, 2015 in Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in Lockport on April 15, 1935 she was the daughter of Leo and Stella (Skrock) Kunkel. Marcelene worked for Davison Road Optical where she was a pre-examiner. She was an active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church where she participated in the choir, the bereavement committee, taught church school and served as a lector. Marcelene also volunteered with Wyndam Lawn Home, enjoyed reading and especially gardening which was her passion. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence L. Lederhouse on December 20, 2014. Marcelene is survived by her children Marc (late Paula) Lederhouse of Burt, Stephanie (Larry) Hanel of Lockport, Gerard (Wanda) Lederhouse of Medina, Janine Gately of Lockport, Garret (Jill) Lederhouse of Lockport, and Vanessa (Michael) McCrea of Syracuse; grandmother of eighteen and great grandmother of two; sister of Steve Kunkel, Greg (Judy) Kunkel, Myrna Kunkel, and the late Rhea Wilson, Neil Kunkel, and Leo Kunkel; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, September 2nd from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated Thursday, September 3rd at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
