Lawrence "Larry" Truscio passed away after a brief illness in Briody Health Care Facility on Thursday May 7, 2015. Born in Lockport on January 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Santa Calandra Truscio. Larry worked at Harrison Radiator for 41 years, retiring in 1991 as a Traffic Analyst. He served in the US Navy from 1951 until 1955. When Larry retired he worked, for Ridge Road Express as a bus driver and a bus aide, he also was a DJ for many events, drove for the Dale Association for 6 years and Meals on Wheels; he coached in the An-Jo Baseball League for 15 years and was member and board member of the Tony Nemi Sportsman League since the 1980's. Larry enjoyed bowling, which he did since 1959 in various leagues, until he became sick. Larry is predeceased by his wife, Mary Ellen (Mawhinney) Truscio, who passed away February 24, 2013. He is survived by his daughter Ann Marie Truscio, and son James (Lillian) Truscio. Larry is the brother of Thomas (Patricia) Truscio and the late Joseph Truscio, William Truscio and Nettie Faraci. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may call Sunday 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
